Cozy vibes and awesome food
This is a charming spot! The staff were super friendly and the locals made it feel lively. Loved the comfy bed and the food was exceptional, definitely better than expected for a pub! Only thing was the menu had too many creamy dishes for my taste, but that’s just me. The atmosphere was still perfect for a night out.

We had a lovely stay with a room that was spacious and perfect for our travels, and the breakfast was simply delicious! The cozy sun terrace and the relaxing garden area were great spots to unwind after a long drive. One thing to note is that finding dairy-free milk alternatives can be a bit tricky, so it might be worth bringing your own. 😊

Had a fantastic time with friends at this lovely inn! Perfect spot to kick off our classic car tour of Scotland. Very welcoming and a great atmosphere. We enjoyed local walks and even tried our hands at fly fishing.
The only downside was the annoying flies we encountered while dining. It was a bit distracting during our meals, but it didn’t completely ruin our experience.

Comfortable beds in the Double Room ensured a decent night’s sleep. The charm of the older building adds character, creating an inviting atmosphere that feels homely.
The room showed signs of wear, with some dated features that could use a refresh. The shower facilities fell short of expectations, as mold was visible in the corners, indicating a need for maintenance. During dining, flies were a constant annoyance in the bar area, compromising the overall experience while enjoying a meal. The limited parking situation could also become a hassle during busy times, especially for larger groups or those traveling in multiple vehicles.

The room was cozy and well-maintained, providing a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring. The selection of local ales and gins was impressive, adding to the charming atmosphere. Dinner featured imaginative dishes, though the menu leaned heavily towards creamy sauces, which might not appeal to everyone. Breakfast was satisfactory, catering to various tastes. A bit removed from busy areas, making it an excellent base for local adventures.

Had a superb 2-night break with my partner. The owners ensured our comfort and satisfaction at every turn, and the rooms were spotlessly clean. Our meals were fantastic and cooked to perfection, with particularly generous portions. It's a perfect spot for anyone looking to explore nearby attractions like Brougham Castle and enjoy local fare.

Cozy environment with great food, especially the generous portions. TV signal issues in the room made watching anything frustrating. A nice spot for darts and fishing nearby adds to the charm.
